To adopt the Amey "Core Values" to carry out the arboriculture and weed maintenance aspects of our contracted responsibilities on the Birmingham PFI contract.
Tasks (Needs to do)
Understand and carry out all safety information and instructions, ensuring that you and your team mates are safe at all times
Carry out all work to relevant standards, in the required timeframe to delight both Amey and our Customer alike
Be able to drive assorted vehicles and carry out basic tree felling, tree pruning, tree planting, hedge trimming, chipping, shredding, weed control and other general grounds maintenance operations to recognised standards
Promote the Amey brand in how you look, act and work whilst carrying out your duties
Always work efficiently, with minimal supervision
Be prepared to attend and actively support personal development and training relevant to your role
Always be polite and courteous to members of the public
Build up good rapport with your team mates and supervisor Arboricultural Manager, Clients and other Amey Staff as appropriate
Person Requirements
Essential:
Full UK driving licence
Good standard of literacy and numeracy
Basic chainsaw certificate (nationally recognised, normally NPTC or LANTRA)
Pesticide mixing and spraying certificates (NPTC PA1 and PA6)
Nationally recognised tree chipping certificate (NPTC or LANTRA)
Proven relevant experience and knowledge of standards in relation to arboriculture and weed control
Desirable:
Basic computer literacy
Aerial tree work experience and qualification
Stump grinding and reinstatement experience and qualification
