The Sr. Policy Representative supports The Nature Conservancy’s Great Lakes Project aquatic invasive species strategy to influence policy and laws at state/federal levels that will close the major pathways of introduction and secondary spread of aquatic invasive species at basin, national and international scales.  S/he will work closely with TNC science and conservation staff across the Basin, business, industry, Governors, government agencies, and legislatures.   S/he may provide services that assist in influencing the outcome of legislative planning and policy initiatives at federal, state, county and municipal levels.  The AIS Policy Director is a point of contact to inform the public, Conservancy partners and elected and appointed officials of Conservancy policy and positions in the realm of aquatic invasive species in the Great Lakes.
