Description

The Upstream Sustainability Services division assists major commercial property companies, institutional investors and occupiers to develop and implement effective corporate responsibility strategies. This role sits within the Upstream team for direct access into the knowledge and expertise from the team’s experience in working with external clients to work towards best practice in the practical implementation of sustainability strategies.

Being able to demonstrate CSR competency to clients is now of the highest importance, meaning that Jones Lang LaSalle is aiming to further embed sustainability into the operations of its own corporate offices, in addition to continuing efforts around employee engagement through a well-established internal programme. As a relatively new focus, gaining buy-in and support from senior leadership is critical to moving Jones Lang LaSalle further in its corporate CSR journey.

This role is to assist with delivery of work related to corporate global and local initiatives for Jones Lang LaSalle, which consists of: corporate responsibility reporting, including other reporting mediums such as the Carbon Disclosure Project and CSR information requests for client proposals; a variety of sustainability research that underpins strategic advice; and data monitoring, management and analysis of progress against corporate CSR targets. The role will require working with other Jones Lang LaSalle colleagues as well as building relationships with key internal management and Board members. It is preferred that the candidate has relevant work experience in a large, corporate environment.

In particular, the role will involve engaging and influencing others to take part in the sustainability conversation. It will also require persistence in order to move a 40,000 person corporation towards industry-leading sustainability practices that directly impact the overall success of the business. It will primarily include project support to Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Consultant, a dedicated internal sustainability resource, for the delivery of strategic sustainability and reporting advice.
