Position Overview The Cadmus Group, Inc. is searching for recent and soon-to-be graduates of Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree programs in environmental science/engineering, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related disciplines to be utilized in support of environmental research and policy development. An ideal candidate would have upper level coursework (e.g., mathematical statistics, econometrics) or work experience in multiple disciplines. Successful candidates will have distinguished themselves with academic excellence and a clearly demonstrated work ethic. Although much of the position involves quantitative problem solving, candidates should also possess exceptional research, writing, and oral communication skills, enabling them support Cadmus’ mission to successfully meet clients’ needs. Cadmus emphasizes working effectively in a team environment with a commitment to the highest standards of excellence.
Responsibilities Research and write high-quality deliverables for clients. Code programs for both data analysis and simulation models. Provide logistic and administrative support for Cadmus project staff. Work independently with minimal supervision, or in a team, as needed.
Requirements A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in environmental science/engineering, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related disciplines (emphasis on GPA) is required. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience with coding programs that perform quantitative computations in some functional programming language (e.g., R, VBA, Matlab, SAS, etc.); the experience could be gained either via employment or appropriate coursework. Ultimately, the successful candidate will be comfortable teaching herself/himself whatever programming language is most appropriate for the project at hand. Fluency in MS Office applications is required, particularly in Excel and Access.
