Carbon Trust Mexico provides cutting edge advice to governments, the public sector and corporates, helping them to make the transition to a sustainable low carbon economy. We work with decision makers and implementers in key organisations in Mexico to help them contribute to and benefit from a more sustainable future through carbon reduction, resource efficiency strategies and commercialising low carbon technologies. We are seeking an experienced analyst with a background in climate change and renewable energy to support the company’s activities in Mexico:-
Manage discrete project components
Help lead problem solving on assigned projects
Undertake research and gathering data
Quantitative and qualitative analysis on client projects
Engagement with relevant stakeholders
Communicate results internally and to clients
Write reports and produce other deliverables
Organize workshops logistics in collaboration with key partners
Contribute to business development activities.

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic team player with:
BSc in Science/Engineering or relevant field; Postgraduate degree preferred
Strong relevant research and analytical experience in consulting or renewable energy industry
Prior experience related to energy and climate change policy analysis
Solid understanding of the energy landscape in Mexico
Track record of gathering and analysing data to produce useful outputs
Proven ability to engage with stakeholders from cross-industry sectors
Strong communication and client-interaction skills
Highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work independently in a multi-cultural environment
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish is essential.
Other Information
The role will be based in Mexico City. Some travel may be required.
Expected start date: December 2016
6 month contract with possibility of extension
The successful candidate must have unrestricted right to work in Mexico and excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
