Working for a well respected engineering consultancy your primary role will be to provide technical leadership and management to the air quality team. You will manage air quality and multi-disciplinary consultancy projects whilst liaising with clients and project teams, both internal and external. A contribution to business development will be well received but not essential. The Air Quality Team is currently involved in air quality assessments of mineral and waste facilities, residential and mixed use developments, large urban extensions of 5000+ homes and support for local authority LAQM and LTP work. The projects typically include monitoring and/or modelling (DMRB, ADMS-Roads and ADMS-4) for EIAs, planning applications and expert witness work. The team is also responsible for carbon footprinting proposed developments, and climate change, daylight/sunlight and wind assessments.
Applicants will need
- Experience of Consultancy, Project management and ideally Business development within a Professional Services organisation
- Strong demonstrable experience in undertaking air quality assessments supported with excellent knowledge of mainstream ADMS modeling and GIS software packages
- Strong communication (oral and written) and team management skills
- Client and regulator liaison experience
- Experience of climate change assessments, micro-climate assessments and carbon footprinting would be an advantage
- Qualified to BSc/BEng level or equivalent in a relevant discipline. A relevant post-graduate qualification and/or FIAQM or MIAQM membership level would be an advantage
