Job Description:
As the Air Quality & Climate Change Specialist, your responsibilities will be to assist in data collection and analysis for air quality and climate change projects such as: emissions inventory analyses, emissions reductions strategies and adaptation options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with environmental analyses.
- Research air quality and climate change legislation and policy.
- Solving quantitative and qualitative problems.
- Interacting with federal and commercial clients.
- Assisting with report preparation and review literature.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or other Earth Sciences, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related subjects.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge/understanding environmental policy and regulation (Clean Air Act, CEQA, NEPA, AB 32)
- Knowledge/understanding of air quality models (URBEMIS, EMFAC, MOVES, OFFROAD, CALINE, CAL3QHCR, AERMOD, ISCST3)
Professional Skills:
- Computer proficiency.
- Organized, detail oriented and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent research, analytical, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills required.
