The Agriculture Program Associate is an entry level position that will provide support to all aspects of our Agriculture Program work. Specifically, the Associate will take the lead in keeping our web page updated, assist us in maintaining a blog on our work, develop fact sheets and educational materials, assist in outreach to affiliates and like-minded partners, and assist in research on agriculture and bioenergy issues. The Associate will take the lead in developing and maintaining the "Sustainable Bioenergy Network," a listserv and database of experts in biodiversity and wildlife that we will keep updated on developments in policy and practices and offer opportunities to engage in educating policy makers and agency staff regarding these aspects of bioenergy sustainability. This work will involve outreach to scientific and professional associations, listserv maintenance and postings, and logistical work involved in bringing experts to DC to engage in educational activities. The Associate will take a leading role in reaching out to cover crop seed companies to solicit information on their sales to enable the development of a estimate of current cover crop use across the country.
