Project/Proposal Summary: The five-year Helping Address Rural Vulnerabilities and Ecosystem Stability (HARVEST) program will assist the USAID/Cambodia, Office of General Development by providing support to establish and manage a flexible mechanism that will provide technical assistance, training, material and other resources as needed to improve food security through enhanced agricultural development and rational management of natural resources.
Position Summary: MSI is seeking long-term and short-term specialists to contribute to design, analysis and implementation of activities related to increasing food availability through enhanced agricultural production systems and rural income diversification; improving natural resource management and resilience to climate change; and building the capacity of public, private and civil society to address food security and climate change. Technical expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas is required: • Irrigation • Tropical Forestry Management • Aquaculture and Capture Fisheries • Agricultural Supply and Value Chains • Resource Economics
Qualifications: • Advanced degree in field relevant to technical expertise; • Minimum of five years of professional experience in a relevant field; • Professional experience in Southeast Asia is highly desired; • The ability to travel to and within Cambodia; • English fluency is required and knowledge of Khmer is highly desired; • Cambodian or US citizenship.
