Aerodrome Reporting Officer - Avisure

Avisure is Ecosure's sister company and their Vision is to be the world’s best practitioners, trainers, advisors and suppliers of equipment for bird and wildlife risk mitigation. As leaders in our field we have consulted to over 70 airports around the world during the last 19 years, providing products, processes, research, and expert advice on reducing the occurrence and impact of bird and other wildlife strike. Our business is expanding with our head office on the Gold Coast and branches in Sydney, Adelaide, Vancouver (Canada) and Brazil (Brasilia).

We are looking to expand our specialist team by employing an experienced Aerodrome Reporting Officer. Although based on the Gold Coast, the position will require travel to other regions.

Key elements of this position will include:

  • conduct WSO/ARO duties as per CASA MOS Part 139
  • liaise with airport personnel
  • airside wildlife dispersal

The position:                Aerodrome Reporting Officer. Casual, part time or full time.              

Remuneration:             Salary negotiable based on skills, plus 9.5% superannuation

Location:                     Various; travel based on project locations throughout Australia

Selection Criteria – essential

  1. Qualification as an Aerodrome Reporting Officer (less than two years preferred, but not more than five years old)
  2. Aircraft Radiotelephone Operators Certificate of Proficiency (ARCOP)
  3. Airport Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  4. Situational awareness particularly  in relation to identifying safety considerations involving aircraft movement, wildlife presence, and the activity of other vehicles, equipment and people utilising the airport
  5. A strong commitment to safety and safe work practices and a willingness to promote Avisure’s safety culture
  6. Manual driver’s license

Selection criteria – desirable

  1. Apply First Aid qualification
  2. Firearms license – Categories A and/or B and/or H
  3. Experience/qualifications in airside wildlife dispersal
