The advisory board of Associated Renewable is a collection of individuals who bring unique expertise to complement the knowledge and skills of the management team and the board of directors.


THE POSITION
============
The firm is seeking a Carbon Offsets Advisor to provide professional management and technical guidance to the management team. The individual will provide mentoring to the executive and management teams for expansion of the company’s Carbon Offsets practice.


REQUIREMENTS
=============
• 8+ years in carbon markets
• Advanced understanding of the Carbon Offsets industry & markets
• Advise on procuring carbon-offset projects for carbon mitigation and also monitor compliance
• Advise on primary and secondary/co-benefits of carbon-offset projects in renewable energy, methane abatement, energy efficiency, reforestation, fuel switching and other emerging areas
• Advise on coordinating with investors, government agencies, corporations and other entities to facilitate investment in high ROI projects that can generate long-term value for the company and our clients
• Advise on strategies to proactively address relevant sustainability issues impacting (or potentially impacting) clients
• Keep the organization informed on the latest sustainability practices occurring in the U.S. and worldwide
• Advanced degree preferably in a technical field, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Environment Policy, Management; Graduate degree
• Field experience in energy conservation, carbon offsets, renewable and alternative energy a plus
• Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
• Strong communication abilities emphasizing good presentation skills, negotiating, investor and client relation-building


TIME COMMITMENT
=================
The advisory board position has no set weekly time commitments; however the advisor should be available for calls, occasional meetings and general advice requests from senior and executive management.


COMPENSATION
==============
Shares or options subject to a vesting period.
