Description

We’re looking for a talented individual to become Environment Agency Wales’ lead advisor on coastal flood and erosion issues. Wales’ coastline is one of its greatest assets but it is constantly changing and its communities are at risk from coastal flooding and erosion. This post will provide Environment Agency Wales with strategic and technical advice on understanding coastal processes and the most effective ways of delivering our flood and coastal erosion risk management work across Wales.

We carry out our work in close partnership with the Welsh Government, local authorities, Countryside Council for Wales and other organisations. A key part of this role will be to also: provide advice to them; inform Government policy development; influence the strategic plans to manage the coast, and; support our partners’ delivery of their flood and coastal erosion risk management work.
