Job Title: Advancement Director, Mid-Range Donor Program

Department: Office of Advancement / San Francisco

Reports To: Campaign Director, Climate Recovery Partnership

Supervises: Part-time Administrative Assistant

Context: Directs and oversees the activities of the developing mid-range donor program, which is established to recognize and build unrestricted annual philanthropic support for the Sierra Club's areas of greatest need and to strengthen the foundation of major gift support for the Club's Climate Recovery Partnership.

Scope: The Director of the mid range donor program is responsible for planning and facilitating the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospective donors via a volunteer solicitor network. The target constituency for the society is the $10,000-$50,000 donor segment. Oversees the development and implementation of volunteer recruitment strategies, donor engagement activities, stewardship and cultivation events, and solicitation trainings. Works closely with Advancement department's Communications team to develop a comprehensive communications strategy and supporting tools and materials. Collaborates with regional Advancement Directors and staff to support mid range giving activities across the country.
