Primary Responsibilities:
- Process all donations from individual donors, alumni, and parents, including checks, cash, stocks, credit cards, Earth Share, Convio online donations and Tribute gifts. Process includes: opening mail; endorsing checks; comparing check/gift against information on reply form; entering accurate gift and constituent information into fundraising database (The Raiser’s Edge); creating new donor and tribute records; reviewing and importing online gift and constituent data from Luminate Online into The Raiser’s Edge.
- Communicate with SCA’s broker for stock gifts and with matching gift and workplace giving companies to ensure proper allocation of donations from these sources.
- Daily communication to appropriate stakeholders via reports and personal contact to ensure accurate recording and notification of donations.
- Process all address changes, spousal information, telephone and email information, deaths and related updates to individual constituent records in an accurate, consistent and timely manner.
- Reconcile gift entry in database to deposits, identify and correct errors before posting, deliver daily gift reports along with checks to finance.
- Process and print acknowledgement letters for all gifts entered using database tools.
- Participate in the stewardship of donors via mail, email and phone
- Assist with a broad range of database maintenance procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Provide excellent and friendly customer service to SCA’s internal and external constituents.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Advanced experience with MS Office (particularly MSWord and Excel) required.
- 1 year data-entry experience.
- 1+ year general office experience.
- Experience with The Raiser’s Edge or comparable fundraising system preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment and be able to work independently.
- Ability to be flexible and cooperative in a collaborative, face paced, dynamic and sometimes stressful environment.
- Proven and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient grammar skills.
- Ability to proactively approach problems with recommended solutions.
- Valid driver’s license and MVR that meets SCA standards required
