Specific Minimum Qualifications and Expertise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven IT skills, including MS Office and use of bespoke databases
- Excellent numerical skills and strong ability to analyse data
- Ability to organise and prioritise a shifting workload
- Proven customer service expertise
- Good team player and ability to work under own initiative
- Interest in environmental issues and degree (desirable)
Purpose
- To provide support in the administration of the Feed-In Tariff scheme in particular working on the Central FIT Register database
- To assist the Assistant Central FIT Register & Fraud Prevention Manager and the FIT Central Register Manager to deliver on Ofgem’s role in administering the Feed-In Tariff scheme
Key Outputs and Deliverables
- Maintaining the Central FIT Register database:
- Making amendments to entries as required
- Providing support to electricity suppliers who have enquiries regarding the Register
- Liaising with electricity suppliers and Gemserv on information uploaded to the Register
- Ensuring tariff levels are correct and updated when necessary
- Responding to queries both verbally and by email or letter
- Being a source of advice for internal and external stakeholders
- Utilising, testing and helping to develop the IT system used to administer the FIT
- Working on ad hoc projects as necessary
Key Stakeholder Relationships
- Internal – IT Support, New Schemes Development, Environmental Programmes and Legal
- External – electricity suppliers, DECC, Gemserv, MCS, ERA, Energy Savings Trust, Carbon Trust and renewable generators
Key Accountabilities
- Delivering Central FIT Register support to all FIT energy suppliers
- Responding to emails with a 5 day key performance indicator target
- Accurate, concise and courteous communication with stakeholders
- Accurate record-keeping and ensuring a robust audit trail of correspondence
