The Administration Assistant will provide administrative support to Senator Penny Wright's electorate office and assist with frontline contact with the public, reporting to the Office Manager.

The position is offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 and conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Collective Agreement 2010 -2012. This position is offered on a casual basis, the hourly rate includes 20% loading in lieu of annual leave, personal leave and other entitlements that do not apply to casual employees under the Enterprise Agreement.

This position is offered for two days per week for a period of four weeks commencing on or before 21 May 2012, with possible extension of up to two weeks. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified in writing within four weeks.

Roles and Responsibilities
1. Assist to set up and maintain records management and filing systems, both manual and electronic
2. Data entry
3. Assist with correspondence
4. Assist with reception duties in the Senator's Electorate Office
5. General office support and other tasks as directed
