Description
Care deeply about the environment and want to work for an organization that makes a difference? Apply now to intern with Greenpeace’s Coal Team at its Chicago OR DC offices. The interns will join two other interns already in DC and Chicago.

Why intern with Greenpeace’s Coal Team?

Coal-fired power plants produce a third of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, and pollution from coal power kills more than 13,000 Americans every year. The Global Warming Team (better known as the "Quit Coal Team") is currently focusing much of its efforts on getting America off this dirty energy source--helping to shut down coal-fired power plants and replace them with clean, renewable energy. Greenpeace is already engaged in several campaigns to shut down plants and will greatly expand its efforts in the next several years.

This internship is a great way to learn first-hand how an international environmental campaigning organization works in the fight to eliminate damages to the environment and public health caused by coal energy. Every effort is made to ensure that interns are assigned work that contributes to the course of the Coal Team—no busywork! Certain skills trainings may also be available.
