Activist Coordinator

This crucial role is responsible for ensuring Greenpeace has a highly trained and motivated network of activists ready to take non violent direct action.

It is a critical decade for the future of the planet. The mission of Greenpeace, to ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity, has never been more urgent.

About the role:

The actions unit is responsible for the planning, co-ordination and execution of non-violent direct actions in Australia and the Pacific region, which are an integral part of Greenpeace’s overall organisational, campaign and communications strategy.

The Activist Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining the Greenpeace Australia Pacific activist network. The position will ensure the availability of a pool of highly motivated, trained, reliable and responsible activists throughout the region, ready and able to deliver planned campaign work. The Activist Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating the scheduling of the annual training program within the action unit and the delivery of the Basic Action Training program that is a pre-requisite for all activists participating in any Greenpeace direct actions.

This is a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) opportunity based in Sydney.
