We are looking for someone with a high level of initiative, self-motivation and great organisational and people skills to join the Greenpeace UK Actions Unit. You will help us deliver dynamic, innovative actions, develop and support our activist network and training programme, and coordinate our key activists.
The person we are looking for will be a great communicator, work well within a team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks in parallel. The successful applicant must enjoy being in a constantly changing and developing workplace.
You will need….
- An understanding of non-violent direct action campaigning within Greenpeace or a similar organisation.
- Effective interpersonal skills, the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships, and the ability to establish and maintain effective contacts and relationships with a wide range of volunteers, staff and consultants.
- The ability to work within the context of a legal framework.
- Experience in communicating effectively and appropriately with a wide range of people, both verbally and in writing.
- The ability to deal with multiple requests for support at one time, of working under pressure to deadlines, and an understanding of working within high security constraints.
Lastly, and most importantly, you will need to demonstrate a genuine passion for Greenpeace’s mission and enthusiasm for learning about our campaigns.
