The Fundraising department’s major responsibility is the recruitment of supporters and through these supporters and others, to raise money, gain commitment to Greenpeace’s vision and mobilise action to achieve ecological sustainability.  As Greenpeace has a policy of not soliciting funds from corporations or governments, we are reliant on the support of individuals to carry out our environmental campaigns.

The Fundraising Division’s current goal is:

To create and maintain a reliable, efficient and ethical funding base which meets the needs of Greenpeace Australia Pacific.

The Acquisition Administrator role will support the team on the recruitment of committed givers for Greenpeace using telefundraising and social media channels. Assisting the Acquisition Coordinator in the smooth running of these programs, helping to track performance and engage with external agencies to ensure a high level of quality is maintained.  A great opportunity to join a team making a huge impact and testing new, innovative approaches to acquisition and engagement.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Acquisition Coordinator with weekly agency reporting
  • Ad hoc tasks relating to your role as required
  • Weekly results reporting from agencies, including the tracking of attrition reports
  • Assisting with lead source reporting and recommendations
  • Regular contact with the agencies and the main point of contact for them in the absence of the Acquisition Coordinator

Who we are looking for

  • Professionalism and commitment, in particular high-quality planning, organising and attention to detail
  • At least one years’ experience in Administration
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundraising in the not-for-profit sector
  • Ideally, experience in telefundraising and/or social media platforms
  • Strong team player, willing to take on unexpected tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
