- Acoustics Specialist (Engineer) 

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Integration and implementation of state of the art computational methodologies and tools on Wind Turbine mechanical noise
  • Development of optimized solutions for modeling and reduction of Wind Turbine mechanical noise.
  • Provide input to Technology Planning for referenced focus areas
  • Guiding and advising colleagues; initiating and participating in technical reviewing
  • Quality of technical solutions at component level. Component life cycle including field performance and reliability
  • Conducting specific tasks of complex nature and influencing business oriented development
  • Keeping up to date with standards, products/solutions and processes
Qualifications and work experience
  • PhD Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, but will consider an MsC in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in Wind Turbine engineering preferred
  • Experience in experimental noise measurements
  • Significant experience in modeling of mechanical noise and relevant tools in complex aeromechanical systems
  • Experience in statistical energy analysis tools
  • Teamwork orientation, strong personal drive and capability to self-direct
  • Openness to innovation
  • Computing and Programming
  • Ability to travel internationally
