Description
Due to a recent resignation, we will shortly have a vacancy for the above role within the Accreditation team.  This role will develop and manage the Energy Saving Trust's transport accreditation and labelling activities, and to secure new business opportunities in this area, in line with the Accreditation Strategy.  A key aspect of the role is to ensure accreditation systems and procedures are robust, effective, technically sound, and reflect relevant certification industry standards, as part of a programme of continual improvement.

Some of the main responsibilities of this role will be to:
  • Develop effective design and management of the transport accreditation programme;
  • Develop and implement the certification aspects of Motorvate programme;
  • Ensure contractual relationships maintained, with evidence of a high level of funder satisfaction with Energy Saving Trust services;
  • Contribute to new business opportunities;
  • Contribute to implementing the Energy Saving Trust's accreditation strategy;
  • Manage budgets, including forecasting and monitoring;
  • Manage staff including appraisal and personal development plans.
To be successful in this role you will need:
  • Substantial relevant technical experience in a transport environment;
  • Proven project and budget management experience;
  • Understanding of relevant certification/accreditation principles, systems and standards;
  • Experience working with a range public and private sector stakeholders;
  • Experience of identifying and developing new business opportunities;
  • Experience of managing staff;
  • Good understanding of transport and related environmental issues;
  • Extensive knowledge of vehicle and engine emissions legislation and test procedures;
  • A graduate level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. mechanical engineering) or equivalent professional experience.
