The challenges you’ll encounter and solutions you’ll create range from solving individual sales consultant requests to helping CEO’s and business owners reinvent their companies. Therefore, we are looking for someone with the passion and drive to both solve day-to-day issues on the ground while also using data and personal observations to make proactive recommendations and execute long-term solutions.

Location

The available geographies on the east coast are from Philadelphia, PA to northern NJ all the way to MA. The majority of work will be done from home or on the road, but rapid market development makes central New Jersey to NYC the most practical.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute communications and training for partner company sales teams (local solar installation companies). Own responsibility to achieve quarterly and yearly sales quotas for assigned area. Requires excellent presentation skills to a variety of audiences.
  • Build and manage account plans detailing your objectives, strategy and action plan with each partner company in the coverage region. Requires excellent analytical skills with MS Excel and Salesforce, as well as the ability to create data-driven solutions.
  • Build, manage and support installer partners within assigned area of responsibility. Requires excellent coaching, mentoring, C-level influence, and “soft leadership” skills.
  • Develop SunRun product expertise in partner sales teams while personally maintaining strong knowledge of solar / energy industry. Requires strong financial knowledge and the ability to perform complex calculations with little assistance.
  • Interact with SunRun customers, providing them with product and contract information. Requires a proactive approach to contract comprehension and ability to comfortably work through contract logic.
  • Deal processing, commission tracking, process improvement, and problem resolution

Qualifications

  • BS/BA and 3-5 years of work experience, preferably with exposure to sales
  • Experience working with Channel partners or VARs will be highly valued
  • Expert in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com
  • Excellent analytical skills with knowledge of finance/business concepts (ROI, NPV, Payback)
  • Track record of training, motivating and managing a quota for sales personnel
  • Experience in business to consumer selling environments is a definite advantage
  • Must be comfortable with deadlines and weekly sales forecasting
  • Must be able to travel 15-50% domestic travel within assigned area, often only 1 day overnight
