Function As Account Manager Western Europe (internally referred to as Manager Brand Owners Western Europe), you are responsible for stimulating food and beverage brand owners to increase the levels of sustainability and transparency associated with their products. Fairfood focuses in this explicitly on the process of sustainability and is in this unique in the world. You will primarily be the brand owners account manager in the UK and some other countries in Europe, like Ireland, France and Spain. Your work will involve frequent travel within Europe.
In your function, you will work closely with other (non-governmental) organisations in order to create the most effective brand owner approach possible. You will also be responsible for developing new lobbying strategies in cooperation with the director and managers for brand owners in other regions.
You are, like all employees at Fairfood, responsible for creating funding opportunities.
Your competences You have a Higher Education or university degree and some years work experience in the sustainability field or food and beverage industry and looking for a job within a young team and a dynamic organisation. You are excellent in multi tasking and can separate nice-to-do's from need-to-do's. You are a strong, diplomatic communicator. Being an efficient networker, you will know how to find your way through the wide range of existing Fairfood contacts. You take the initiative and are result oriented, able to set priorities and organise. You also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Obviously, you have a close affinity with Fairfood’s goals and are able to ‘sell’ them to the food and beverage brand owners.
What we offer? We offer a versatile position within a young international organisation. You will have the freedom and opportunities to continue developing yourself and achieve tangible results. Due to our commitment to spend our funds on achieving our mission, the salaries within Fairfood are not excessive. Monthly gross salary is approximately GBP 2,200 based on a 40-hour work week.
