Description

CDP is seeking a highly motivated individual with a financial background to manage CDP’s relationships with investors and signatory entities. The position is based in CDP’s London office. The Account Manager will report to CDP’s Head of Investor Initiatives and will work integrally with the global Investor Initiatives team. The Account Manager will contribute to the development and implementation of the team’s strategy and lead CDP’s engagement with specific signatories.

Key responsibilities 

  • Building relationships with institutional investors and recruiting them as signatories and members;
  • Understanding current areas of interest for investors and feeding those back to the CDP research team;
  • Generating revenue through sales of CDP memberships, special project sponsorships and new products and services;
  • Ensuring investors are aware of our data and research and assisting them to use it in their investment process where possible;
  • Making presentations at relevant financial and other conferences, webinars, etc.;
  • Convening and organizing investor roundtables and other informational events; and
  • Account managing investor signatories and members.

Key requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in the financial markets, preferably in a sales role;
  • A passion for integrating ESG issues into the mainstream investment process;
  • Experience liaising with contacts in senior positions at pension funds, insurance companies and investment managers;
  • A desire to take ownership and responsibility for their work;
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills and a desire to seek out speaking and networking opportunities;
  • The ability to deliver excellent results under pressure and take pride in working to a high standard;
  • A flexible but diligent working style, with proven record of working within a team;
  • An advanced degree in related specialties would be an advantage; and
  • Bi-lingual candidates are preferred – especially in French and Spanish.
