The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist in all aspects of the operation and development of its ground-breaking water program. The position is based in CDP’s London office.

CDP Water Disclosure was launched in 2009 to provide critical water-related data from the world’s largest corporations to inform the global market place on investment risk and commercial opportunity, and to catalyse action towards improved corporate water stewardship. With the backing of 354 financial institutions with over $43 trillion in assets, the program has just completed a highly successful second year working with a sample of world’s largest water-intensive companies.

This is an exciting role in a program that has the potential to expand rapidly across the globe. The position reports directly to the Head of CDP Water Disclosure and will assist in all aspects of the program’s work, including:

Main responsibilities

  • Engaging with target companies and financial institutions
  • Organising events including roundtables, webinars and the launch of the annual water report
  • Managing the writing and production of reports
  • Developing communications materials, writing blogs or opinion pieces and presenting at selected events
  • Developing future questionnaires and accompanying guidance
  • Supporting the development and testing of enhancements to CDP’s IT systems
  • Collaborating on projects and initiatives both within and outside CDP that promote corporate water stewardship

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience
  • An understanding of the business issues around water, with a relevant Masters degree preferred
  • A desire to take ownership and responsibility for their work
  • Strong IT experience, including proficiency in excel and power point and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • The ability to deliver excellent results under pressure and take pride in working to a high standard
  • A flexible but diligent working style with a proven record of working within a team
  • Bi-lingual candidates are preferred

The successful candidate will work 5 days per week and must be able to work legally in the UK.

Benefits: Competitive NGO salary, annual bonus, 24 days holiday, contributory pension provision after 3 months employment.

Interested candidates should send a copy of their CV with a cover letter outlining their suitability for the role to Roy Wilson at recruitment@cdproject.net with "Account Manager, CDP Water Disclosure" in the subject line.
