The Account Manager reports to the Account Management Director and is responsible for flawlessly executing, delivering, tracking, and reporting value for strategic Recyclebank partnerships to drive incremental business. The Account Manager’s responsibilities include meeting and exceeding contractual obligations and establishing and maintaining strong client relationships. The Account Manager also has a role in partnership marketing, loyalty marketing, and consumer marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set the vision and strategy for driving new business through existing and new partnerships.
  • Develop relationships with strategic external partners (negotiate contracts, execute/implement partner into program, enhance the customer experience, drive acquisition, and promote loyalty).
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Rewards, Technology, etc.) to ensure strategies align with business goals.
  • Direct, plan, and execute direct marketing and promotional campaigns to stimulate interest and participation in new partnership programs with Recyclebank.
  • Manage overall relationship with partners (i.e. support end-to-end technology integration, coordinate partner communications, report results, etc.)
  • Identify and cultivate cross-sell/up-sell opportunities with partners.

  • Able to navigate organizational structure and use Influencing/negotiations skills to accomplish tasks cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of digital media space a plus.
  • Knowledge of consumer packaged goods companies preferred.

  • Skilled in analytics and strategic planning.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in solving complex problems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years of strategic implementation, account management or project management experience.
  • Experience in a client facing role.
  • Experience working in and leading in a fast moving function.
