?The Role

The focus of the role is to drive new business by engaging and working with Temple’s clients, partners and internal technical and functional teams to understand their needs, to develop propositions and to deliver bid proposals across the UK for all our teams.

This is a central support role working within, and helping to develop and advance, the Business Development and Sales team, reporting to Temple’s BD & Sales Director. It is both an internally and externally facing role involving bid management, business administration, process and system development, market and proposition advancement, and client and partner engagement.

Main Areas of Responsibility / Performance 

  • Manage and maintain nominated account and framework relationships with clients and partners
  • Liaise with Temple’s account and framework managers to leverage client and partner relationships to identify new opportunities
  • Work with team leads to establish and validate new market and client opportunities
  • Co-ordination and management of the strategic bids and framework tenders from PQQ through to award
  • Manage and report on Temple’s key accounts and frameworks
  • Identify new frameworks and client relationships as well as developing new relationships with strategic partners
  • Report to the BD & Sales Director on strategic opportunities and developing same in accordance with Board directions
  • Attend client and 3rd party events in order to promote Temple services
  • Work closely with the BD & Sales team, as well as the Marketing team.

Contracted Working Hours - 40 hours per week. Consideration may be given to part-time working (min 32 hours per week)

Qualifications Educational/Professional

Essential

  • Degree-educated in a relevant discipline
  • A relevant experience

Desirable

  • Membership of a relevant professional institution;
  • A high level of relevant experience or relevant qualifications

Key Qualities and Requirements

Essential

  • Confident in communication (written and spoken), interpersonal and people engagement skills.
  • Highly proactive and experienced at networking, developing relationships and understanding client/partner requirements.
  • Able to manage complex, multi workstream opportunities, often in parallel or conflicting timescales and deadlines.
  • Capable of delivering winning bids for consultancy services projects and frameworks.
  • Able to bring valuable input to bid win strategies and commercial discussions.
  • Comfortable working alongside technical specialists.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks.

Desirable

  • Proven ability in management client and partner relationships
  • Proven excellence in delivering and managing bids in the infrastructure, property and construction sectors.
