In recognition of the 25th anniversary of the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and as part of a major investment in a long-term growth strategy, the SEI York Centre has exciting opportunities for up to three Senior Researchers.

These posts allow the development of research that provides new insights and supports the transition to alternative pathways to sustainable futures. They provide the opportunity to become part of SEI, a leading global research institute working at the interface of environmental research and policy and to contribute to a dynamic and exciting team spread across four continents. They also offer the chance to benefit from a range of exciting academic developments within the University.

Current priority areas for investment in the York Centre include food security and agricultural policy, trade and environment, mitigation and adaptation to climate change, sustainable urbanisation, ecosystem services for poverty alleviation, and behavioural change & environmental justice but we welcome applications from a broader spectrum of research perspectives.

You will have a strong track record in securing competitive policy-relevant research grants, project management, publication and communication, and will either be a leading international authority in your specific field or a researcher with a rapidly developing international profile.
