Sustainability Services sits within Audit Advisory, one of the fastest growing areas of the firm. Our team helps clients to realise opportunities and manage sustainability related business risks. The team provides assurance and advisory services to a wide range of high profile clients on responsible business strategy, governance, communications and reporting. We also provide climate change and carbon management services including climate adaptation, carbon footprinting and strategy, helping reduce exposure to rising energy prices and costs and respond to stakeholder expectations. What will I be doing?We expect our graduates to deliver high quality work products while establishing enduring relationships with clients from the start. You will typically operate in small teams although occasionally you will need to be comfortable working individually - always with the support of a manager or senior. Engagements can last from a day, or require sustained effort over several months. You will be able to steer your career into the industry of most interest to you, whether it be; financial services, consumer business, technology, media or telecoms, public sector or manufacturing. Many of people enjoy the variety of working in different industries and work on a portfolio of clients from across industry sectors. Your work may also involve travel overseas. Training and Career ProgressionTo equip you with the necessary skills to perform the job, you will attend our firm-wide graduate induction programme. This will introduce you to Deloitte, the specific types of challenges our clients face and help you start to develop your practical and technical skills. You will have the opportunity to study for the Associate Chartered Accountancy exams (ACA). As part of the wider team, you’ll continuously develop your technical capabilities, management and leaderships skills and receive full support from the dedicated learning team for your individual development. Your development will comprise of both on the job learning and structured classroom led training. What we are looking for?Career progression is rapid and actively encouraged, with responsibility given very early on. Within two years of joining, you can expect to have future graduates working for you on some projects and you will have to delegate and manage their workload as well as your own. You will very quickly gain the skills and experience you need to supervise other people in the team. We are interested in graduates from a wide variety of backgrounds and degree disciplines. You will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, excellent numerical skills, analysis skills and have a structured approach to problem solving. Being ambitious, creative, tenacious and entrepreneurial, will serve you well as you seek to develop your capabilities in the different areas of this growing practice. You will need to have a keen interest in how business works and the challenges that organisations face in achieving their strategies and goals.
