Spend your summer working with professionals in sustainable and organic agriculture for a national non-profit! Add to your resume and learn practical skills to complement your education, skills and interests! The National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT), which manages the ATTRA project, is looking for a qualified student to work in its office on the Glide Ranch in beautiful Davis, California. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have good communication skills and an interest or background in sustainable or organic agriculture. The successful student will also be able to interact with the public and NCAT staff in a professional manner. Spanish, Hmong, Lao, or Mien language ability is desirable but not required. Opportunities: The intern will conduct research for sustainable agriculture casework and publications, and may do some translation work. NCAT professional staff will work with the intern to identify other tasks such as writing summaries of information, reviewing and updating publications or working with databases. Compensation: $10.00 per hour. An additional stipend for transportation and living costs may be available. The position may be full or part time and we are willing to work around your summer school schedule. Location: The position is located at Glide Ranch, in a beautiful ranch house converted to offices, on Russell Blvd. east of Davis.
