Spend your summer working with professionals on sustainable agriculture projects. Learn new skills and put your college education to work! The National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT) is looking for a qualified student to work in our Shavertown, PA office located on the historic Lands at Hillside Farms. This is a great opportunity for the right student to work with a national organization on local projects. This short-term internship could possibly be extended to a year if funding allows. Opportunities:
Qualifications: The successful candidate should have good communication skills, an interest or background in agriculture and local food systems, an active and curious mind, and a high level of computer skills. Website development skills are preferred. A high school diploma is required. On-farm experience would be useful but is not required. Applicants with background in farming who are not currently enrolled in school may also be considered. Compensation: $8.50 to $10.50 per hour depending on experience.
