Looking for a stimulating environment rich in opportunities to further entrench your career within the Hydrosciences Sector? Are you a go getter that can secure your own funding for research projects? A leading scientific and technology research institution involved in implementing projects throughout South Africa and Africa is looking for 2 Senior Researchers for their Pretoria and Stellenbosch Offices (permanent Senior position). The research group will be involved in conducting research on water ecosystem, with emphasis on their ability to provide ecosystem services and meet the needs of a developing South Africa on a sustainable basis. With particular focus being on the effects of water quality on human health. You will be expected to travel within Africa and outside of Africa when applicable, write reports and mentor junior researchers Requirements· Candidates must have a strategic perspective of the water sector and its challenges· A Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant environmental or natural sciences or related field, coupled with not less than 5 years’ professional experience gained as a senior researcher.· A good track record within the Hydrosciences sector is essential· Code 08 drivers licence is required and own vehicle will be advantageous Should you meet the above requirements, pls send a comprehensive CV including examples of your publications and sound track record to the e-mail address stated below.Use the reference number CW017.
