Description
Our client a globally accredited research institute working within the Agricultural industry is currently looking to fill the position of a Systems Modeller for their Plan and Environment Resource Centre Requirements:·        PhD in Science or Agriculture- This is a MUST!·        Deep knowledge of dynamic crop growth models such as DSSAT or APISM·        Publications in the area of agricultural systems modelling·        Understand and have deep knowledge with computer programmes such as FORTRAN and C# and data manipulation such as Oracle·        Understand and have knowledge of project management principles and application with regards to research·        Proven record of ability to mentor other scientists·        Excellent communication skills Roles:·        Promoting the use of the models and DSS to the industry and promoting their effectiveness·        Using the agricultural models in an innovative way to identify and solve industry challenges, opportunities and potential opportunities·        Planning, conducting and supporting agronomic systems research If you feel that you fit the above requirements mentioned then please forward your CV with a cover letter to candicew@caenviro.co.za Please note that should you not be notified within 14 days your application has been unsuccessful Foreign candidates who wish to apply must be in possession of a valid work permit and should submit a copy of it along with their CV.
