This is an exciting chance to join the University of Plymouth, Marine Institute as a Research/Knowledge Exchange Fellow on the One Ocean Hub project. You will be part of an interdisciplinary group that delivers world class research and have the opportunity to live in a progressive maritime city in the south west of the United Kingdom, in close proximity to National Parks, Coastal Paths and within the UK's first National Marine Park.
We are seeking a talented individual with expertise in social and economic research linked to ecological systems to join The One Ocean Hub team at the University of Plymouth, Marine Institute. Specifically working within the Marine Conservation Research Group you will lead on social-economic-ecological systems research and knowledge transfer linked to the Blue Economy with an expectation to develop high quality outputs with international policy impact.
You will have:
* a PhD in a relevant discipline. * Knowledge of social-ecological systems research and a developing track-record of relevant published research.* Experience of international research projects.* A track-record of successful engagement and knowledge exchange with key stakeholders.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for a period of 3 years due to funding. We will also consider candidates who wish to work part time and extend the duration of the role to the end of the One Ocean Hub project in 2024.
