The Lead Canvasser is a part time  position responsible for the day to day operations of each of the local canvass campaigns.   The primary goal of the local canvass campaigns is to set qualified appointments for the REC Solar Outside Sales Team.  This individual will coordinate  and mentor 3 to 8 canvassers while leading by example through their own individual part time canvassing efforts.  The position will staff, train, coordinate the daily activites of the  the canvass team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in Hiring, Training and Staffing for each canvass campaign.

-  Canvass fifteen hours per week.

-  Check-In and Check-Out the Canvassers.

-  Ensure the canvassers are showing up on time and working their designated hours and assigned  areas.  

-  Coordinate the area to be canvassed and obtain proper permits.

-  Track the daily results of the canvass campaigns – doors knocked, contacts made, appointments set and systems sold.

-  Work with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure each canvass campaign is working with the goals of the team as a whole.

-  Support the Solar Associate and Event Coordinator as needed.

-  Process Canvasser’s timecards and track appointments and leads to ensure proper commission.

-  Participate in team meetings to improve the process and results of the canvass efforts.

 

 

 

Requirements

-      Excellent verbal and written communication skills with direct customer contact experience.

-      Solid computer skills, including MS Office and at least one year CRM experience, preferably with SalesForce.com, including ability to create and run reports.

-      Ability to work successfully in a team environment.

-      Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, ability to work with little supervision.

-      High-school diploma or AA degree, Bachelor's degree preferred.

-      Must pass a pre-employment drug test, background check and have acceptable driving record.

-      Enthusiastic and articulate speaker

-      Outgoing personality that enjoys communicating with others

-      Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands/Essential Functions:

-      Must have the ability to walk and stand for 4 to 8 hours while canvassing.

-      Light physical effort, including carrying literature
