Chemonics seeks a specialist in climate change adaptation for an anticipated USAID-funded global climate change project based in Washington, D.C. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. The project will provide scientific and policy research support and technical assistance on global climate change adaptation strategies, with a focus on water issues and management. It will also assess vulnerability to climate change, provide suggestions on how to reduce risk, and help implement these strategies in collaboration with the USAID office in Washington and missions worldwide. Responsibilities include:
Help stakeholders understand adaption options
Work with project planners to design projects that build resilience to climate change, focused on water resources and coastal management
Qualifications:
Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field
Minimum five years of relevant international work experience with progressively more responsibility
Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility
Experience leading or supervising multidisciplinary teams and/or projects desirable
