CFO in The Sahara Forest Project

We are now seeking an accomplished and motivated person to the newly established position as CFO in The Sahara Forest Project. As CFO you will have the opportunity to play an important role in an exciting business venture at the cutting edge of sustainability. The CFO will be responsible for the company’s finances and play a key role in strategy, business development and project development. 

As CFO you will be working from the headquarters in Oslo. The CFO will report to the CEO and have the following main responsibilities:

• Commercial development of the company, such as continuous improvement of SFP’s business model and refining business plans, in close cooperation with the CEO
• Project development and project finance, together with key team-members in the organization
• Project oversight and ownership. Project reporting to CEO and BoD. 
• Contributions to business development, including identification of new project opportunities, in cooperation with the business development team
• Production of finance and business development content in relevant plans, applications, studies and reports
• Contributing to daily operation of the company, including ensuring efficient internal flow of information, team-building and coherent focus on company goals
• Company finances such as accounting, budgets and financial reporting

You are a structured and goal oriented person, combining a passion for innovation and sustainability with:

• Relevant background in finance or consulting, preferably including project finance, financial modelling and valuation
• Experience from a project-driven, preferably engineering-focused, work environment
• Entrepreneurial drive, self-starter
• A talent for relationship-building
• Excellent communication skills
• Ambitious, commercial, operations directed and analytical
• Accustomed to fast-paced and demanding deliveries with short deadlines
