Salary Range:

$17.44 to $19.59 per hour

Summary of Function:

Responsible for assisting with the delivery of the Aquatic Plants Program, which promotes watershed health to students in grades 2 to 10. Deliver a variety of hands on stewardship initiatives including planting native aquatic plants, interactive games and activities, demonstrations and hikes. Responsible for all aspects of program delivery.

Example of Tasks:

Perform the following tasks under general supervision:
1. Deliver curriculum linked wetland education programs to grades 2-10 students at wetland restoration sites located across the Greater Toronto Area.
2. Transport, set up and dismantle program equipment and supplies.
3. Crew leader of high school aged youth in Conservation Authority projects such as invasive species removal, boardwalk construction, trail maintenance, habitat creation, and other conservation projects. 
4. Repair and maintain inventories of program materials and equipment.
5. Provide pre and post visit support to teachers / leaders as required to ensure the successful delivery of programs.
6. Maintain program records and enter data as required.
7. Provide support to TRCA stewardship projects and other outreach education programs.
8. Other duties as required.
