Work Programme Coordinator Salary: £22,145 Job type: Permanent Location: Langley Mill, Derbyshire Closing Date: 5 pm on Monday 21 November 2011 Interview Date: Monday 28 November 2011 (Half Day) Start Date: ASAP Groundwork Derby & Derbyshire is a leading environmental regeneration charity working across Derby and Derbyshire (except North Derbyshire). It was established in 1988 and has a staff complement of 42 and a turnover of approx £1.5 million. We have a Work Programme Contract, through which we provide work experience and job search activities to young people who are long-term unemployed. We currently have a vacancy for a Work Programme Coordinator, who will coordinate the various elements of this programme, and will deliver many of them. You will work closely with the trainees, from initial interview and induction, through job search activities, advice and guidance, and final exit interviews. Your target will be to achieve 20% job outcomes amongst those trainees. You will line manage the site supervisors, who provide work experience and training on site for the trainees. This work experience is principally related to landscape and maintenance work, however some trainees also work with us as caretaking trainees. Other trainees may be put into work placements with partner organisations. Additionally, you will ensure that the requirements of the funder are met at all times.
