Weekend Catering Volunteer - RSPB Rainham Marshes nature reserve

Why we want you

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a team driving forward to provide a Cafe service worthy of its beautiful surroundings. Tasks would include staffing the Café counter, serving members of the public, clearing tables and washing up by machine. Our busiest times are weekends, bank holidays and school breaks, so some availability during these times would be greatly appreciated.

The skills you need

Enjoys working with people. Good customer care skills. A basic food hygiene certificate would be an advantage but not essential. A clean and tidy appearance and pleasant manner as duties will include face-to-face contact with the public. Reasonable level of fitness as this role will involve a lot of walking and some light lifting.

Your time

Minimum commitment: Preferably at least 1 day per month -hours available; can be agreed between 9.30 - 4.30

Notes

We would reimburse you for all out- of- pocket expenses, invite you to volunteer thank you events, send you copies of our weekly Rainham Roundup, and of course give you ongoing support in your role.The RSPB works for a healthy environment rich in birds and wildlife.
