Candidates should possess the ability to analyze data and think innovatively.

Key responsibilities

  • Company disclosure evolution: research into key evolving areas of corporate disclosure including certification / verification in forest disclosure, forest restoration (e.g. REDD+), climate degradation, improving data quality in water disclosure.
  • Policy and disclosure development: supporting work to determine how existing questions across climate change, water and forests impacts relate to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Natural Capital Protocol and other key policy drivers, and identifying where gaps exist.
  • Supporting the company 2017 disclosure: helping the Technical team to deliver the 2017 questionnaires to companies through testing and documentation reviews.

Requirements

  • A good degree in a relevant discipline
  • A strong interest in the environment, the corporate world, and environmental reporting
  • Previous work experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Superior data analysis capabilities and familiarity with Excel
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while aligning work with other team members

The successful candidate will work 3 days per week from CDP’s London office. Candidates should be able to start in early October and be available to undertake the internship until the end of December (3 months) with possibility to extend for another 3 months. The position is unpaid, however lunch and travel expenses within London will be reimbursed. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Interested candidates should send a copy of their CV with a cover letter outlining their suitability for the role to Tony Rooke at tony.rooke@cdp.net with "Internship position" and your name in the subject line.
