Victorian Forest Campaigner - The Wilderness Society Victoria

 

Location: TWS Melbourne Campaign Centre, 288 Brunswick St Fitzroy VIC 3065
Salary: $54,000 (band 4.1) to $63,000 (band 5.1), plus 9% superannuation 
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Responsible to: The Victorian Campaigns Manager and ultimately TWS Vic Inc. Committee of Management (CoM). The position also works closely with the National Forest Campaigner.

The Melbourne Campaign Centre of The Wilderness Society is seeking applications for the position of Victorian Forest Campaigner.

The position is based in Melbourne and will focus on the campaign to protect Victoria’s native forests from logging.  Travel to other parts of Victoria is required.

The Victorian forest campaign takes on a wide variety of actions and activities, including lobbying, research, information dissemination, organising major events such as rallies, peaceful direct-action protests, media events/conferences and fundraising.

 

We seek an experienced, outgoing person with demonstrated skills in networking, political analysis, lobbying, organising, research and media.  The position is embedded in the Victorian campaign team, but works closely with other TWSA entities on national forest campaign objectives.
