Based in Perth, ecologia conducts terrestrial vertebrate fauna studies throughout WA and has a significant in-house team of highly experienced professional zoologists. This vacancy represents a major opportunity to advance your career working within an industry-leading biological sciences team that has high credibility with both industry and regulators.
Essential to this role as a zoologist are tertiary qualifications in Biology or Ecology, or extensive experience and knowledge of Australian vertebrate fauna. Honours or postgraduate study will be highly regarded. The applicant must have demonstrated experience in the identification of birds, mammals and/or reptiles. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment, be hard working, highly organised and have excellent report writing skills.
The candidate will be responsible for leading zoological surveys / projects in remote areas, data entry and collation, report production and where required liaison with regulators and clients. This position is for a 6 month, full-time contract.
