Description

Two exciting events coming up from Diana Pound and dialogue matters

  1. 1.    Natural Connections 2012 <> 2nd February 2012 <> London

Natural Connections 2011 was a great success.  People were inspired, motivated and wanted another conference in 2012 ….so here it is!

Stand out messages in 2011 were that to create connected, multi-benefit and multi-functional, landscapes we need: effective partnerships, good communication, participation, and pooled resources.  To respond to these priorities we are aiming to include speakers on the following:

All change – progress on new policies and initiatives

  • The Environment White Paper - a year on. Defra
  • Cracking the code:  ERZ, NIA, LGA, LNPs – what are they and what do they mean in practice. Natural England

Partnerships Work

  • Inspirational success stories from unexpected partnerships (for example conservation and police, the Olympics and new landscapes, art and nature, water and people).

Plain Speaking

  • Effective communication
  • Effective participation

DIY

  • Local people making a difference.
