Description

The Company:

Now in our 11th successful year, we have established ourselves as one of the UK’s leading environmental recruitment consultancies. We have built our reputation by delivering the highest levels of service and are looking for a proactive and sales focused consultant who shares our values, to complement the busy and growing London team.

Reporting to the Environment Team Leader you will initially provide research assistance to our wider team of consultants.  You will get exposure to each of the sectors we service, familiarizing yourself with our industry, identifying prospective candidates and assisting with the recruitment process. As a small and entrepreneurial team we like to tailor training requirements to the individuals joining us.  If you show early signs of flair for business development or alternatively research, then we will be dynamic about the training we give you. On completion of your training you will be rewarded with the opportunity to manage your own desk and develop your own portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities:

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will:

  • Review candidate applications by talking to and meeting with candidates to fully understand their skills and career objectives.  Draft CVs to make effective introductions to clients
  • Assist consultants with the management of the interview process and obtain    client/candidate feedback following interviews
  • Carryout research to identify suitable candidates before making initial headhunting approaches
  • Advertise vacancies appropriately by drafting and placing adverts within a range of media
  • Use sales, business development, research and marketing techniques to attract business from existing and prospective clients
  • Develop a good understanding of your target clients through meetings, telephone calls, email and market research

    About you:

We expect high standards and offer the opportunity for our consultants to be autonomous in the development of their target sectors; being highly motivated, ambitious and having a flair for business development are key elements to being successful in this role.

We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have either; a related degree or previous sales experience. But, if you have a confident phone manner and a desire to succeed, then we are keen to hear from you.

Your hard work will be rewarded with an excellent basic salary and a very generous uncapped commission plan.  You’ll also reap regular rewards from our monthly internal competitions which might see you taking home Selfridges shopping vouchers, a bottle of Champagne or a meal for 2 in one of London’s top restaurants.  Our quarterly team building events are also very memorable, with recent excursions including Go Carting and boating on the Thames.
