Position description: Are you a charismatic and fun loving person whose can mix professionalism with humour? Does the idea of meeting new people, sharing stories of conservation work and answering their questions fill you with glee? Do you enjoy working outdoors and have an interest or experience in trail development and maintenance? Are you also interested in supporting the Echo team and gaining first hand conservation experience that will enhance your guiding stories? If so this could be a perfect position for you!   

Brief Overview: The role of the Tour Developer is to promote Echo in a professional manner to our visitors. Echo is new to Eco-tourism and this role will involve developing the tour “product” as well as working with partners to promote the tour. The ideal applicant would be able to produce content (but not designs) for promotional material and to work with other team members and printers to complete projects.  The applicant should also be willing and able to help with trail building and maintenance to increase the number of tour opportunities available on-site.

The applicant will have opportunities to also get involved with the conservation team’s work and this will be encouraged as conservation experiences will enhance the stories that can be shared with visitors. The applicant must be self-motivated, punctual, disciplined, comfortable working independently, and physically and mentally fit.

Accommodation is provided for all Echo volunteers at our Dos Pos conservation center. This is a field camp in a remote location please make sure the conditions work for you. Check our FAQ: http://www.echobonaire.org/volunteer/faq/

Requirements: A minimum commitment of 1 month is required, with the opportunity to extend. Preference will be given to applicants willing to commit to a longer period and to those who can demonstrate skills and experience in this field.

Volunteers must to travel independently to Bonaire and must have travel insurance.
