Three Research Associate positions in Systematic Biology in Bangalore

ATREE invites applications for three positions of Research Associates (Systematic Biology), one each in Botany, Entomology and Malacology. The work involves taxonomic revisions, data-mining, information collation, curation and dissemination through various media including web portal.

Location: The position will be based in Bangalore.

Duration of appointment: The position is for a period of three years (to be confirmed after a three-month probation period) and extendable for one more year.

Minimum qualifications

  • Masters in Botany/ Zoology/ Entomology/ Environmental Science/ Environmental Studies/ Ecology / related field.
  • Aptitude in biological systematics
  • Good communication and writing skills

Desirable skills

  • Taxonomic experience working with plant/ animal collections, conversant with flora/ fauna, description of plant/ animal collections etc.,
  • Ready to take up travel in remote field sites and lab studies
  • Work experience in computer applications, including databases and web portals

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
