Job Summary for the Thermal Modeller:

We are currently looking for an experienced consultant grade thermal modeller to work at the cutting edge of energy simulation for this leading firm of engineers. You will work on some of the largest and high profile projects in the industry, with leading architects, designers and contractors.

Responsibilities for the Thermal modeller:

The Consultant will:

  • Interpreting project briefs and implementing actions ensuring efficiency and quality
  • Preparing and fulfilling scopes of service
  • Computer modelling and analysis for building energy performance and efficiency
  • Carry out Air flow modelling and solar and overheating studies
  • Ability to work within a wide array of projects and sectors 
Qualifications / Experience for the Thermal modeller:

Essential Skills:        

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant subject
  • Demonstrable experience in Thermal modelling, EPC, Part L and SAP assessments
  • Knowledge of IES modelling suite
  • Able to file Energy Performance Certificates as required
  • Ability to complete on-site surveys to appropriate standards
  • Ability to build relationships with contractors and all relevant stakeholders

 Desirable skills:

  • NOS levels 3, 4 & 5 accreditation with a recognised organisation such as CIBSE or STROMA
