Butterfly Conservation is a leading wildlife charity working to conserve
butterflies, moths and our environment. We currently have the following
exciting new opportunity:

The Butterfly Files Project Officer (Part-time, 0.5FTE)

Two-year fixed term contract

Salary £23,087 - £26, 672pa (pro-rata) dependent on experience, plus pension
contribution

We require a highly motivated and enthusiastic Project Officer to help build,
train and support our volunteer network who help conserve butterflies and
moths in Northern Ireland.

Work will include planning and delivering training workshops for existing
volunteers, as well as coordinating a new volunteer engagement programme
to reach new audiences, whilst working with partner organisation and link
into existing initiatives and activities wherever possible.

Experience of developing and delivering public events and providing volunteer
training in nature conservation, together with excellent communication skills
are essential. Good knowledge of butterflies and moths, survey and monitoring
techniques, and practical conservation is desirable.

This is a part-time position working 18 hours 30 minutes per week either
home based or a shared office with a partner organisation. The project is
part-funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.
